Fiction For Young Readers Masterclass #1

Accord Literary is excited to present our first online writing masterclass for writers living and working in Africa who are writing for young people. This will be an intensive work-focused opportunity for honing writing skills to be hosted over 3 consecutive weeks. Each session will include curated advice on how to focus on and improve your writing, a live writing-focused session to practice the subject being discussed and finally an interactive discussion on the themes of the day. Participants will be encouraged to write and share their work for feedback. The themes covered will be: character, setting, dialogue, plot, voice.

Accord Literary is a leading agency that works with African writers on developing their stories with the goal of securing worldwide publication. This workshop is supported by the African Publishers Innovation Fund, Dubai Cares and the International Publishers Association.
